Robert Dickeson (16 August 1981 – 30 September 2017), known professionally as Apex and Robert Oaks, was an English producer working in drum and bass and liquid funk. He was born in Dartford and raised in Maidstone, Kent. His primary output under the Apex name sat in drum and bass; from 2016 he also released techno and house material as Robert Oaks and as Midnight Lamp.

Dickeson began his recorded career as one half of the duo Unknown Error before launching the Apex solo alias in 2007. Under Apex he released on labels including Hospital Records, Lifted Music, Subtitles, Renegade Hardware and Horizons. His 2009 remix of London Elektricity's "Just One Second" attracted wide acclaim and is frequently cited among his best-known works.
