MSDOS

Chris Kouzellis, known professionally as mSdoS (MSDOS), is a Greek producer and DJ working in drum and bass, jungle and liquid funk. He is based in Thessaloniki and runs the Liquid Drops Recordings imprint.

Kouzellis has been active as a producer and DJ within the DnB community and has also worked as a radio producer. In 2008 he launched a podcast that, reportedly, exceeded 400,000 downloads within four years — a measurable presence that accompanied his releases and DJ activity.

MSDOS’s productions sit squarely in the liquid and atmospheric side of drum and bass. His tracks emphasise warm, sustained pads and piano-tinged chords alongside rolling drum programming; bass lines tend toward deep, rounded subweight rather than abrasive midrange growl. On the rhythmic side he favours crisp snares and tightly edited breaks that keep forward momentum without overloading the mix. Tracks and mixes from MSDOS have been played on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ministry of Sound Radio and Bassdrive, reflecting both specialist radio exposure and club-focused DJ backing.
