A creative introvert from Manchester, UK, Note blends drum & bass with jazz, hip hop, and R&B. With releases on The North Quarter and Goldfat, Note is creating his own space in the scene with his textured, high-concept beats.

In landscape torn between the Zoomer-led drum and bass revival and the guardians of its underground roots, the enigmatic Manchester-based musician and producer Note has somehow managed to find his own lane. Since his debut in 2021, he has become recognised for an ever-evolving, soulful sound that effortlessly blends avant-garde jazz, hip-hop, and R&B into meticulously crafted drum and bass/jungle compositions.

After a slew of releases on labels such as Goldfat Records and Vandal, Note caught the attention of soulful drum and bass specialists The North Quarter with a couple releases on their annual N.Q. State of Mind compilation albums and then in January he released his TNQ debut EP ‘Impressions of A Still Life’ a collection of deep and intricate tunes inspired by post-impressionist art, gaining critical acclaim and support from platforms like BBC Radio 1, UKF, Rinse FM, Shogun Audio, Hospital Records, and an invite to guest DJ on BBC Radio 1’s Drum & Bass Show.
