All the way from Brazil, it&#x27;s DJ Marky! </p><p>Hailing from Sao Paulo, Marky is the spearhead of a Brazilan drum and bass movement which first rose to popularity in the early 2000s. He was already a well-established touring DJ when “LK (Carolina Carol Bela)” made dancefloors smile ear to ear with it’s infectious, feel-good latin guitar hook. The track peaked at number 17 in the UK charts and is a standout moment in DNB’s history books, spawning a whole wave of samba sampling DNB in the process. </p><p>Marky is regarded by many as dnb’s true showman. When he steps behind the decks he has a smile and larger-than-life stage presence that can light up any room. Someone with a fierce reputation on the Technics 1210s, he is renowned for his dizzying scratch routines and turntable party tricks alongside killer selections. His reputation extends well beyond the dnb confines as a cult favourite across the wider clubbing world. Not many dnb DJs get to share a stage with French house legend Laurent Garnier, after all. </p><p>Reaching almost 30 years in the business, Marky continues to release, collaborate and tour the world, spreading that liquid sunshine wherever he goes. He’s a regular collaborator with the likes of Makoto, S.P.Y. and Pola &amp; Bryson, with close allies in everyone from V Recordings main man Bryan Gee to Belfast hero Calibre. Essentially, if there’s a big new tune around, Marky is going to have it. </p><p>We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our birthday than by bringing the latin heat to Belfast for a night of musical sunshine and good vibes. We’d love you all to be there and quite frankly you’d be mad to miss this one. </p>
