Singularity UK is a London based collective who love raving, old skool UK dance music and the cultures that surround it! It’s this wonderful love-affair that’s fuelled them to put on over 90 conceptualised and boundary pushing nights for the past 6 years, always with the old skool at heart. Here are some concept nights they’ve had fun putting on: “Duplate Dealers” (all DJs play only test press/unreleased tunes on white label vinyl) or “Lessons from Above” (a 100% Northern/Midlands born lineup make the journey South to teach it’s inhabitants a lesson) are good examples of these ingenious concepts. Striking visuals and promotion have always been a core part of our brand. Rooted in old skool UK Dance Music our sound spans a lot of different genres including: Jungle, DNB, Bassline and much more. The infusion of these sounds with modern sonic experimentation from the raw talent of the producers in our crew, is what makes Singularity nights a melting pot of new dubs, old skool classics and anything in between. It has to be bass heavy and get the body grooving. Our recent focus has been to push sound system culture in the capital, something they feel is lacking these days, especially in contrast to other cities like Bristol, where a sound system powered event is almost a given. In London, we often have to make do with in-house systems, which rarely ever cuts it. We've recently launched our first fully fledged camping festival - Ground Rules. We're dedicated to putting on the best party possible so joins us as we're definitely not stopping anytime soon!
