Hiphop openair party on the riverfront

On May 28, words take flight on the riverfront as underground hip hop rhythms arrive in front of Viadukt Bar.

On the mic and behind the turntables will be none other than one of the most defining figures of Hungarian hip hop culture: györemix! With a career spanning more than three decades and recognized with a lifetime achievement award, the hip hop activist remains devoted exclusively to the traditional sound of vinyl in his performances. Drawing from a collection of nearly 10,000 records, his vinyl-only sets consciously and passionately preserve the originality, authenticity, and raw spirit of the subculture.

This summer, the riverfront is free once again!

Instead of car traffic, the section of the Pest lower embankment between Chain Bridge and Elisabeth Bridge transforms into a recreational park and temporary community space.

A closer connection to the city, the river, and each other.

RAKPART~2026 is realized on behalf of the Municipality of Budapest through the collaboration of Valyo – City and River Association and the Budapest Cultural Center.
