Peckham Audio· London, United Kingdom
[ LAST ENTRY 12:30AM ]
Join us for the 4th instalment of How It Started - a DIY, vinyl-focused club night, celebrating the best in underground electronic music and bringing clubbing back to basics.
We’re back in London for the third time this year, bringing How It Started to a brand new venue with a stacked lineup of some of the most talented DJs that London has to offer.
LINE UP:
Chinese Daughter, Kool FM resident and member of the notorious Swamp 81 record label goes toe to toe with Racked Records boss Highlander. Both are expert selectors in their own right and this isn’t the first time that they’ve been at the controls together so this matchup is guaranteed to be explosive.
The multi-faceted Dekka will be closing the night with a selection of drum & bass and jungle, bringing the energy till the very end.
How It Started founder Hickey and collaborator Disco Fucks will be warming up the dance, easing into the night with a wide selection.
Why "How It Started"?
-THE FORMAT: This event is 100% vinyl. We want to promote the format as a medium for sharing unheard music, as it used to be, and show respect for the art of digging.
-THE COMMUNITY: The night exists to bring music fans and DJs together and we are proud of the community we have built. It is what makes any club night work and we encourage you to get involved, using it as an opportunity to meet like-minded people and build new relationships.
-THE DANCE: The majority of today's clubbers have not experienced nights out without phones. While we do not enforce a no-phones policy, we want you to feel the euphoria of hearing something special without the need to video it or take photos so we encourage you to take time to put the phones away, be in the moment, and dance together, as it used to be.
CONCESSION TICKETS: These are offered on a no questions asked basis. Please click 'contact the promoter' below to request a concession ticket if needed.
PLEASE NOTE: This event may be filmed/photographed for promotional purposes. Purchasing a ticket constitutes consent to be filmed/photographed.
