Jaywalking celebrates 1 lap around the sun!

On our birthday we will be cutting through the tempos with Anysia Kym, Mi-el & Sina- 3 distinct artists from 3 distinct cities.

Anysia Kym is a Bronx-born, Brooklyn-based producer, drummer and song writer. Rooted in NYC’s alternative hip hop scene, she’s gone from strength to strength steadily putting out releases filled with chops, samples, dreamy melodies, basslines, and vocals from herself and collaborating friends. Her latest album ’Truest’ is a shining epitome of her hands-on style. We are please to welcome her to the stage as she will be performing a live set featuring her latest work.

mi-el is a DJ most well-known for her NTS resident show ‘Pulling Threads’ where she uses music as a shuttle to weave through history, current political events, and socio-cultural theory. In her club sets she dextrously navigates tempos and genres, never failing to convince dancers to come along for the journey. She is also the former booker at Venue MOT & has played many well coveted parties, venues and festivals such as Big Dyke Energy, De School, Glastonbury and Outlook Festival.

Sina is a DJ & artist hailing from Melbourne by way of Montreal. She gained notoriety for her diligently curated mixes: they are slick but not without grit, bass driven, breaks laden, exploring the vast landscapes of leftfield sounds- she runs Framework, a party integral to the local scene in Naarm & her mixes have been featured in series such as Passing Notes, Neurocrank & Cloud Cover. She is also a member of trip-hop band Dregs, their namesake release invoke a swampy, otherworldly longing.
