Cabaret Voltaire· Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Bongo Tuesdays RIP
Eight years of Tuesdays, generations of heads, hundreds of parties: we are gassed to announce our new home, The Cabaret Voltaire! Once home to Split!, the UK’s longest-running weekly DnB night, Cab Vol’s infamous brick walls are steeped in history. Now, for the first time in thirteen years, we’re bringing a weekly bass fix back to Edinburgh’s legendary vaults with a run of four special guest parties to kick things off.
We’re talking infamous brick vaults, thick atmosphere, and a D&B Audiotechnica rig made for those who know. Cab Vol’s been rated by the city’s heads for years, with history stamped into the walls. So don’t call it a fresh start; call it a continuation. We’re just here to keep doing what we love, every Tuesday.
Rest easy: our ethos hasn’t shifted. Fair entry, no twenty-quid nonsense for resident nights, and international worthy headliners that won't put a dent in your wallet. Just properly curated parties, heads-only vibes, and the same commitment to keeping the scene open for all.
For the birthday, we are delighted to bring Gabriella Bongo from Hospital Records up to Edinburgh for her long-overdue Scotland debut. Gabriella's been making waves in the London underground and is part of the new school blending sharp, melodic DnB with depth and soul, always linking liquid warmth with jungle grit. She’s trusted by heads from warehouse crowds to festival tents, with a rep for sets that go deeper and push the tempo. Her track ‘Breathe’ with TJ might have flown under the radar at first, but DJs have started picking it up this summer - well worth a listen ahead of Tuesday. Expect nothing but precision and pure energy as Bongo finally steps into the vaults.
In support, Edinburgh’s own Coben comes through with a rare live set with live keys; FIFI stops by ahead of her main stage slot at Woodland Dance Project; and venue manager Jolene brings it home for Cab Vol. Room 2 sprints into UKG and jungle, with Gilbo (YBZ Collective), Selecta Slippa (Midnight Bass), Katlate (Sneaky Pete’s), and A Pavlo steering the controls.
Our last party sold out, so do not hang around for tickets.
That's Tuesday sorted x
