For our first special guest of the year, we’ve invited up London liquid DnB producer Zar for his Scotland debut!</p><p>In case you missed him in 2024, Zar&#x27;s debut album has been championed by UKF as one of the top releases of the year (alongside Nia Archives, Alix Perez and 4am Kru, no less!) and comes sandwiched in a slew of eight releases this past year on Space Cadet, Rosebay, Five Alley, and more, alongside collabs with DRS, Fox, Submorphics, and many others.</p><p>With Italian roots and a base in Manchester, Zar has carved out a reputation for crafting soulful, vibe-drenched liquid DnB that draws heavily from jazz, soul, and hip-hop sampling. His sound marries lush tones, evocative melodies, and forward-thinking production, earning praise from legends like LTJ Bukem, Bryan Gee, and LSB. His work with DRS’s Space Cadet label is just the start, as Zar continues to experiment with downtempo styles and expand his already impressive repertoire.</p><p>A true artist on the rise, Zar’s music is deep, emotive, and built for dancefloor immersion.
