As part of the Festival of Freedom, Saturday in Bratislava will be filled with music, art, and shared energy. Velvet Saturday at Šafko brings together music, visual art, and a sense of community in an all-day program where freedom becomes an experience.

Šafko Club will open its doors in the morning and turn into a space where different music styles and generations meet throughout seven hours of live sets.

The musical line-up features DJ WhiteWolf, DJ BooBoo, and Laura Plis.

Line-up

11:00 – Doors open

11:30 – DJ WhiteWolf – the youngest performer at the Festival of Freedom, an 11-year-old DJ who has been studying for a year and a half at the Mäsokombinát DJ Room in Bratislava under DJs Andee and C:rcle. His sets blend Tech House and Drum & Bass.

13:30 – DJ BooBoo – a mainstay of the Slovak drum & bass scene for over fifteen years, known for his deep and soulful sound.

15:30 – Laura Plis – delivering Techno with a powerful groove and distinctive energy.

During the day, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the international exhibition of cartoon art “Sneezing Brain / Kýchajúci rozum,” dedicated to the themes of freedom of thought and freedom of expression.

The exhibition presents works by artists from around the world who use humor, caricature, and satire to reflect on social issues and show that art can address serious topics with wit and lightness. Cartoon art, as a visual language, combines fun with reflection and develops the ability to “read between the lines.”
