Secret Psychedelica: Aries 2026

Springtime has arrived and the Horns of Aries are sounding off, signaling a bold new cycle of Secret Psychedelica parties! As we charge into our 5th annual Aries celebration, we continue the tradition of high-energy psytrance that defines the start of the season. Leading this year’s vanguard are the powerhouse sounds of Aaron Fractal, Ishikawa, and MXA, who will be spearheading the sonic assault. Heed the call and join the movement as we ignite the flame for the new astrological year with a lineup designed to push the boundaries of the San Francisco scene!

Aaron Fractal jumped into the psychedelic community because he saw a vision that immediately drew him in, moving first as a wanderer and then becoming a DJ. Later in 2008, driven by the desire to manifest a new and better world, he finally began organizing events. It’s been an intense and challenging battlefield putting together parties and festivals, but his burning passion for a "we" and "might-makes-right" belief in creative, radical change keeps him blazing trails in rural New England. Aaron is all-in on honesty, self-improvement, and kindness, dedicating his time to this culture because he’s determined to build a reality that aligns with our highest, most passionate ideals. For the first time in San Francisco, Aaron brings his unfiltered full-on psytrance frequencies to the decks, launching an audio language that will dominate the dance floor and spark immediate positive vibrations!

From Mumbai to San Francisco, Ishikawa has been forging a path in the psytrance world since he first heard Infected Mushroom at age 14. Driven by pure Aries fire, he transitioned from die-hard fan to a label managing titan, taking the reins of Phonix Records in 2013 and representing Kaos Krew as their US DJ. With 11 compilations and over 50 releases under his belt, Ishikawa is a fearless collaborator and a relentless force, constantly testing the limits of the global underground. Not just a mindless follower of trends, he sets the pace for them. His high-octane sets fluctuate between the latest sounds of forest grooves to twilight psytrance and his talents have led to festival bookings at Equinox, Caracha Experience, and the Great Funspiracy to name a few. Through all of his experiences, his mission remains the same, to share the best psytrance on the planet with the masses.

MXA didn't just enter the scene in the late 90s, he rushed in headfirst and went straight into DJing the soothing sounds ambient, chillout, and IDM at some of Northern California’s wildest psytrance gatherings. Since then, he’s leveled up, pivoting his sound to include techno, tech-house, and related genres because staying predictable is not an option. In 2014, MXA co-founded the Ratatatouille Project, an organization specializing in oceanside renegade events. Beyond DJing, he also produces genre-bending experimental music as part of the bands Varona, Radio Free Clear Light, and Umenden. MXA will be unleashing an unapologetic psy-tech set that’s designed to heat things up and command the night right from the start of Aries 2026.

In support, Secret Psychedelica residents Synwrks and Michael Liu will be locked in to keep the psytrance room blazing. Crooked Legacy will host the second room with the dynamic sounds of drum & bass featuring Arizona’s Outlet resident, Meraki. Joining the second room stampede is a squad of local maestros, Chris the Junglist from Primitive Science, El Otro Mundo recording artist Christopher Leath, DJ Drew representing Pusch Productions, and Siren Project’s very own Salex.
