Bar Society, Scorch, Les NYC, Millo Ent (yes epic) bring you:
“So:Ho Day Party” - September - fusing together (for the first time) our two favorite genres of music:
Soca Music + House Music, for a truly universal sound and party.
So:Ho Sounds aka So(ca) Ho(use) is a deconstruction of the Caribbean/West Indian genres, particularly Soca, into distinct tribal, Afro-centric, Latin, Indian and tech Caribbean rhythms (and “riddims”).
So:Ho Sounds is our Caribbean House Music that will be curated by us on our Bar Society Beach Rooftop.
September 8 will be the biggest/baddest rendition of So:Ho Sounds aka Soca House aka Caribbean House Music as they are joined by So:Ho originators:
DJ Pelau, Donny Oh Bachannal, Rhythm Factory

Beach Cafe Society (BCS) was founded by Alexey Ilyusha and Jamila Nolan as a multidisciplinary and a multicultural space (and metaphysical) lifestyle that organically interconnects the mediums of Music, Art, and Wellness to achieve human connection. Originally from Ukraine (Alexey) and Trinidad (Jamila), but growing up in Brighton Beach and Coney Island, they have taken their combined decades of experience in the music, art, wellness scenes (throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, New York, LA) full circle back to where it all started - Coney Island - to open their Beach Cafe Society rooftop, “Bar Society,” an artisanal cocktail + music bar. Staying true to their ethos, mornings will be for sunrise yoga (on the rooftop) with amazing coffee and olive oil cake served for the beach/boardwalk community.
