DJ PAUL C (Jungle Dub House Recs / Ireland / NYC)

DJ Paul C is a pioneering DJ, producer, promoter, and label owner with over three decades shaping the Jungle and Drum & Bass scene. Raised between Dublin and New York, his sound was forged through Funk, Reggae, Rave, and the early schools of Grooverider, Dollard, and Vega.

His early residencies included Dutty Den’s in Malaga (1989) and The Gardening Club, Dublin (1994), before co-founding Jungle Nation in 1995—the city’s first weekly Saturday drum & bass party in NYC—alongside DJ Dara and Lunar Crew’s Riain. By 1996, he became a resident at Konkrete Jungle NYC and helped launch Breakbeat Science, the US’s first drum & bass record store.

Performances span from NYC to the world: WODNB @ Hammerstein Ballroom (w/ Grooverider, Fabio, Shy FX), CMJ @ Speeed NYC (w/ Moby), Catalpa Festival Randall’s Island (w/ Snoop Dogg, The Black Keys), PS1 MoMA NYC, Space Miami WMC, SXSW Austin, as well as international appearances from London to Toronto to San Juan.

Paul C has shared stages with Jungle icons such as Goldie and drum & bass heavyweights including Sub Focus and Bryan Gee, bringing decades of experience to every set while steering the energy of Jungle Dub House in New York.

As a producer, he has released tracks such as Bad Boy Selecta, NY Jungle, King's Dream, and has produced/remixed artists including David Boomah, TC Izlam, and T.R.A.C. as well as Signing Systemattix & debuting Nayobe His label and events, Jungle Dub House (est. 2013, formerly Funked Dub), continue to push new releases and curate cutting-edge parties.
