Drum & Beer are stepping up their game by bringing you their first night in a bigger venue, with a better soundsystem and a bigger line-up.

Sola; a Manchester-based trio, founders and managers of the Grand Theft Audio Recordings label, will be our headliners. It'll be their first time playing in Belgium. They've released a ton of tracks on plenty of major labels, as well as their own. Their debut album, ‘Stars Align’, was released in 2022 to great acclaim. Their style is a mash up of Neurofunk, Dancefloor, Jungle, Liquid, Rollers and Jump Up, refusing to be pigeonholed into a single vibe. This makes for exciting DJ sets with plenty of surprises.

+Battery- is an artist from Hasselt, who mixes, produces and plays several instruments. His style covers most subgenres of DnB. We've invited him to perform a hybrid set, during which he'll mix and play drums.

Tricky Fingerz is the new project from C-TMB and Seka, two remarkable scratch artists from Brussels, who have decided to team up to produce DnB sets that leave a big place to scratching.

C-TMB won the World Championship title in the scratch category of the 2023 DMC Championship, and Seka has won several Belgian DMC runner-up titles. Their set will cover most sub-genres of drum and bass.

D-Bro, ace mic man of the Belgian DnB scene, will be our master of ceremony.

To complete the line-up, we've chosen three members of our team whose sets we love: Whyam'me, who's preparing a Neurofunk set that will knock your socks off ; as well as Dee Faze and Jordy, who'll each perform a varied DnB set.

We've been looking for a bigger venue for a while now, one where we could organise parties to which we could invite better-known artists. We'll be going to Brasserie iLLegaaL, an alternative venue that brews excellent beers and makes supporting culture a point of honour.

Located in Forest in the industrial zone, accessible by bus (78 Bollinckx stop) and train (Forest-Midi station), with a large events room, a beautiful outdoor area with a petanque pitch and a food truck area, the Brasserie iLLegaaL has quickly become a recognised cultural venue in the Brussels region.

We share many values with them, including quality, respect, tolerance and sharing. We particularly appreciate the attention they pay to the affordability of their events, the diversity of their line-ups, and the physical and psychological safety of their audience.

The evening will take place on Thursday 1 May from 6pm to 1am, on Labour Day, during the school holidays.

Drum & Beer passe à la vitesse supérieure en vous présentant leur première soirée dans un lieu plus grand, avec un meilleur soundsystem et un line up conséquent.

Sola ; un trio basé à Manchester, fondateurs et gérants du label Grand Theft Audio Recordings, sera notre tête d'affiche. Ils ont sorti une tonne de tracks sur plein de gros labels, en plus du leur. Leur premier album, "Stars Align", est sorti en 2022 et a rencontré un franc succès. Leur style est un mélange de Neurofunk, Dancefloor, Jungle, Liquid, Rollers et Jump Up, se refusant à être enfermés dans un style unique. Cela se traduit par des DJ sets passionnants et pleins de surprises.

+Battery- est un artiste venant de Hasselt, qui mixe, produit et joue de plusieurs instruments. Son style couvre la plupart des sous-genres de DnB. Nous l'avons invité à réaliser un set hybride, lors duquel il mixera et jouera de la batterie.

Tricky Fingerz est le nouveau projet de C-TMB et Seka, deux remarquables scratcheurs Bruxellois, qui ont décidé de s'associer pour réaliser des sets DnB laissant une grande part au scratch.

C-TMB a remporté le titre de champion du monde dans la catégorie scratch du championnat DMC de 2023, et Seka a remporté plusieurs titres de vice-champion de Belgique DMC. Leur set couvrira la plupart des sous-genres de drum and bass.

D-Bro, as du micro de la scène DnB Belge, sera notre maître de cérémonie.

Pour compléter le line up, nous avons choisi trois membres de notre équipe dont nous adorons les sets : Whyam'me, qui nous prépare un set Neurofunk qui envoie ; ainsi que Dee Faze et Jordy, qui nous présenterons des sets DnB variés.

Cela fait un moment que nous cherchions une plus grande salle, où organiser des soirées auxquelles on peut inviter des artistes plus connus. Nous nous retrouverons donc à la Brasserie iLLegaaL, un lieu alternatif où l'on brasse d'excellentes bières et qui met un point d'honneur à soutenir la culture.

Situé à Forest dans la zone industrielle, accessible en bus (78 arrêt Bollinckx) et en train (gare de Forest-Midi), disposant d'une grande salle d'évènements, d'un bel espace extérieur avec un terrain de pétanque et un espace pour food truck, la Brasserie iLLegaaL est rapidement devenu un lieu culturel reconnu dans la région Bruxelloise.

Nous partageons beaucoup de valeurs avec eux, notamment la qualité, le respect, la tolérance et le partage. Nous apprécions particulièrement l'attention qu'ils portent à l'accessibilité financière de leurs évènements, la mixité-diversité des line up, et la sécurité physique et psychologique de leur public.

La soirée aura lieu le jeudi 1er mai de 18h00 à 01h00, le jour de la fête du travail, pendant les vacances scolaires.

We zijn al een tijdje op zoek naar een grotere locatie, waar we feestjes kunnen geven waarop we bekendere artiesten kunnen uitnodigen. We spreken dus af in de Brasserie iLLegaaL, een alternatieve plek die uitstekende bieren brouwt en zich inzet voor cultuur.

Gelegen op de industriezone van Vorst, bereikbaar met de bus (78 halte Bollinckx) en de trein (station Vorst-Zuid), met een grote evenementenzaal, een mooie buitenruimte met een petanqueterrein en een plaats voor een foodtruck, is de Brasserie iLLegaaL snel uitgegroeid tot een erkend cultureel trefpunt in de Brusselse regio.

We delen veel waarden met hen, zoals kwaliteit, respect, tolerantie en delen. We appreciëren in het bijzonder de aandacht die ze besteden aan de betaalbaarheid van hun evenementen, de gemengde samenstelling en de fysieke en psychologische veiligheid van hun publiek.

De avond vindt plaats op donderdag 1 mei van 18.00 tot 01.00 uur, de Dag van de Arbeid, tijdens de schoolvakanties.
