FEMINAE NOX is a social enterprise and femme-driven music + arts platform prioritizing equity + celebrating Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other racialized women, femme, & nonbinary folks those working and seeking to work in live music and nightlife, both on-and-off stage. Answering a much-needed reprieve from archaic structures, FEMINAE NOX events aims to create an oasis for real-world examples of financial equity and knowledge exchange, both on-and-off stage for BIPOC women, femmes, and nonbinary folks. FEMINAE NOX debuted their first club night series [NOCTURNE XP] series on February 11, 2023 at Datcha, immediately selling-out featuring a lineup of local DJs. FEMINAE NOX’s series returned for an over sold-out special daytime event with over 2,900 people at the outdoor space, Aire Commune hosted by Seny K and featuring a Montreal DJs: G L O W Z I (fresh from their debut at Boiler Room Festival Toronto), NIABI, and debuting newcomer, IVY. In September 2023, FEMINAE Nox launched NOCTURNE XP @ Francesco’s Discoteca and their Live Music XP at POP Montreal featuring a special evening with Nigerian-American power folk singer, Annahstasia (Los Angeles) + Eritrean-Canadian Neo-soul singer, M.I.Blue (Toronto).
