The Vinyl Touch x Essence of Chi: Decibels Til Dusk
Basing House · London, United Kingdom
14:00 – 21:00

The award winning Vinyl Touch is one of London’s longest-running and most prolific multi genre dance events. Launched back in 1999, within a few years The Vinyl Touch parties had moved from a small north London bar to a huge five-arena venue with over 30 artists performing at each event. The Vinyl Touch kicked off with a desire to provide London with a new party concept by combining exciting new styles dusted with the all important old skool roots. The Vinyl Touch have successfully built an ever expanding movement by fusing all the styles we know and love and showcasing them at ‘one’ event. By bringing back the energy and atmosphere from the early days of rave the next generation were soon hooked! The club night has appeared across the UK and over sea’s – from residencies at the WKD Club (Camden), Rhythm Factory (Whitechapel), Think Tank (Leeds) and Electrowerkz (Upper St, London) to large scale events at Ministry of Sound (London), The Arches (London) and Ikon & Diva (Southampton). The Vinyl Touch has also hosted rooms at Bagleys (later Canvas, Kings Cross, London), Camden Palace (now Koko, London), SeOne Complex (later Debut, London Bridge) – and to spread the Vinyl Touch sound that little bit further big collaborations in Krakow, Poznan, Gdynia and Sopot, Poland were made. Over the years, event partnerships with some of the biggest dance music brands including Raindance, Moondance, Best of British, Epidemik, Coalition Festival, Ministry of Sound, Global Energy and Nu-Breaks Experience (Poland) have been put into operation. With a forward thinking cutting edge music policy and a roving eye for emerging talent, The Vinyl Touch was one of the first promotions to book some of the dance scene’s most successful artists. Over the years, our clubbers have been treated to DJ sets and live performances from Krafty Kuts, Freestylers, Adam F, The Dub Pistols, Shut Up & Dance, Atomic Hooligan, Aquasky, Bryan G, DJ Hype, Ratpack, Ellis Dee, Deekline, Jason Kaye, Far Too Loud, Ctrl Z, Nicky Blackmarket, Phantasy, Slipmatt, Billy Bunter, Dr S Gachet, EZ Rollers, J Magik & Wickaman, Ragga Twins and many many more. In 2006 Vinyl Touch Records was launched, releasing big breakbeat tracks from resident producers Swifty B, The Magnet Men (Imetic), Joe Rapid (Jobe) and Bruno Lawton (Digital Strut), with remixes by guest artists.
