HVEN

HVEN ≒ HAVEN = a shelter, a sanctuary. Set beneath the Nakameguro tracks, HVEN’s identity starts with itsarchitecture: a linear, tunnel-like entrance defined by concrete pillars and a continuous row of industrial pole lights. At the end of the tunnel, a compact locker area leads into a small, blacked-out space with a single red lamp indicating the entrance to the main floor. The main floor, equipped with a Funktion-One system and a suspended 1.5-meter LED sphere, opens into near-total darkness. Ultra-black walls and a stainless-steel DJ booth beneath the sphere create a focused environment where almost nothing else is visible. The room transitions into a lounge with a bar and open kitchen, furnished in brutalist concrete and stainless steel. A small dark room sits between the dance floor and kitchen, while the kitchen itself stays open for guests to pass through, forming an unexpected, intimate pocket within the venue. Outside, a wide roofed terrace extends the industrial character and offers a break from the floor. Existing both above and below ground, HVEN is fully modular, its minimal structure linking compact rooms and passageways. Depending on how the spaces are configured, it can accommodate 100 to 300 guests. HVEN operates as a hybrid hub shaped by fluid, cross-disciplinary programming. It offers a neutral and safe space, open to all genders, ages, and backgrounds, while supporting both long-rooted local communities and new, experimental scenes. HVEN≒HAVEN = 避難所、安息所 中目黒の高架下にあるHVENは、建築そのものが特徴である。入口にはコンクリートの柱が並び、その上に直線状のライトが続いている。細長いトンネルのような通路がまっすぐ奥へ伸びている。通路を抜け、入口横のロッカーを過ぎると、赤いランプがメインフロアの入口を示す小さな暗い空間に入る。 メインフロアはFunktion-Oneと直径1.5mのLEDスフィアを備え、ほぼ完全な暗さの中にある。漆黒の壁とステンレスのDJブースだけがわずかに視認でき、それ以外はほとんど見えない。 奥にはバーとオープンキッチンを備えたラウンジが続いている。素材はコンクリートとステンレスで統一され、無機質で静かな印象である。ダンスフロアとキッチンの間には小さな薄暗い部屋がある。キッチンはゲストが入れる形で開放されており、場内の一部として使われている。 外には屋根付きの広いテラスがあり、インダストリアルな雰囲気が外側まで続いている。 HVENは地上と地下の両方にまたがる可変的な構成で、最小限の構造が小部屋と通路をつないでいる。空間の組み方により、収容人数は100〜300名の幅を持つ。
