Starr Bar · New York City, United States
19:00 – 04:00
214 Starr Street, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA
A nightlife venue and home for the social justice community. Dance, watch movies, listen to live music, and plan your next action with a drink in hand! CREATE | CONSPIRE | CELEBRATE: Starr Bar is a nightlife venue in Bushwick, Brooklyn that celebrates and supports movements for social justice. A portion of proceeds goes to support Mayday Space, a community center and organizing hub a short walk away. Both are built for schemers and dreamers to create, conspire, and celebrate together. Contact us at starrbarbk@gmail.com to book your dance party, performance, film screening, book talk, fundraiser or other special events! The 2100 Sq/Ft space features a full bar, multiple seating areas, a large dance floor, a high-quality sound system, a mounted projector, a full kitchen (food service coming soon) and works from various movement artists and campaigns on our walls. We are ½ block from the Jefferson L train and are wheelchair accessible. We are the only nightlife venue in NYC (that we know of!) explicitly dedicated to fostering a celebratory culture of resistance and solidarity and sharing profits with local efforts for radical change.
