The Echoplex

One of East Los Angeles' best-known venues, The Echoplex straddles the border between Silver Lake and Echo Park. With a large elevated stage area fit for both bands and DJ setups and a low-ceilinged area near the bar, it strikes a curious balance between larger music venue and intimate, crowded nightclub. With everything painted completely black, there's one long bar stretched across the back wall of the venue, along with limited seating around the sides.
