The Gasometer Hotel

Located in the vibrant Smith Street, The Gasometer Hotel (aka The Gaso) is a 1861 bluestone pub that has been converted into a live music space. The downstairs bandroom is a uniquely designed space with an arched retractable roof and large mezzanine that overlooks the dancefloor and stage. Featuring an L'Acoustics Arcs system with L'Acoustics SB28 subwoofers, it's one of the best sounding rooms of its size, and plays host to long-form dance parties with international and local artists all year round. The upstairs bandroom is suited to intimate events and performances, or acts as a second room for full venue shows. The venue becomes a labyrinth for exploration in this format and a truly unique experience. Musically, there's no way to expect what you're going to hear on any given night at The Gas.
