Tom Finster

Growing up in a very small village in the mountains of eastern Germany came with vast woods and long winters, so music has always been more of a escapism to me than a social experience. I think that's why i love to play with nostalgic feelings in my music.

I started Tom Finster in 2018 - when i turned 30 - as an outlet for my creative experimentations, but also to express quite personal subjects. Genre-wise i'm not bound to anything and have started with breaks and ambient tracks, but recently drum and bass really grew on me, since it combines all the elements i really like about electronic music. Even though i would say my songs are more melody and harmony based than the average Drum and Bass song.

My more experimental songs were released by UPSCALE, INSPECTED and myself, where as the more dance floor oriented came out on NËU and DIVIDID. All those songs are tied together as ALL THINGS FALL APART LP.

After having a strong 2020 with good releases but all gigs cancled, i head into 2021 with a remix for Camo & Krooked & Mefjus and playing LetItRoll Festival with a lot of new and unreleased original material.
