Hypercell 001

The debut event of Hypercell Records a new electronic music label run by Bokonon releasing forward thinking electronic music with a focus on sound design.

Hypercell 001 will coincide with the release of the label's first offering, Writhe, a techno/dub techno EP inspired by water.

Hypercell events will be focussed on showcasing new releases as well as music and producers who have inspired the label.

Earl Grey

With releases on Rua Sound, Western Lore and Inperspective amongst others, Manchester producer Jim Ehlinger has been writing and release music under the Earl Grey name since 2009. Originally arriving at drum & bass and jungle via the route of breakcore, braindance and IDM, Earl Grey’s music draws from a wide range of music influences, from jazz and prog rock, soul and funk, house and hip hop, putting together at an eclectic blend of uptempo breakbeat styles, falling somewhere between home listening and dancefloor territory.

GINA

Lucid juice front runner + DJ GINA is known for exploring the darker side of club music with bassy cuts + percussive sounds driving her DJ sets.

With both the events she curates and her sets she plays she’s passionate about bridging the gap between old and new, promoting young working class producers whilst celebrating pioneers that made the scene what it is.

On this occasion you can catch her going back to her roots with full throttle 160+ pressure.
