The Mash House· Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Nook returns to the Mash House middle room to put the Inca Soundsystem through its paces, shaking the building to its core. This Halloween weekend special brings two heavy-hitting headliners alongside a stacked lineup of residents and local talent. Expect sub pressure and razor-sharp selections across dubstep, halftime DnB, and experimental bass mutations.
Earplugs recommended - this one’s going to hit hard.
Spectral (Critical):
Spectral is a DJ and producer based in Bristol, known for her sharp selection and high-energy approach to bass music. She came up through the EQ50 mentoring programme with Critical Music in 2020, and has since become a key part of the label’s roster.
Her sets draw from a wide range of sounds - drum and bass, jungle, dubstep, grime, and beyond - delivered with precision and depth. Spectral has performed at leading venues such as Fabric and Printworks, and across Europe in Amsterdam, Berlin, Croatia, Albania, and Switzerland.
Now signed to Primary Talent, she holds a radio residency on Bristol’s SWU FM and continues to work closely with Critical Music, recently releasing her debut EP. Spectral stands at the forefront of the new wave of UK bass artists shaping the future of the scene.
Skillis (Headset):
Skillis is a DJ, label head, and curator based in Edinburgh + Brsitol. Beginning as a gay grime DJ playing all vinyl, he has become one of Scotland’s most respected selectors, recognised for his refined approach to stripped back, soundsystem-rooted electronic music.
He founded Headset in 2014, first as a club night and later as a vinyl record label, now active across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, and London. The label showcases Scottish underground artists and runs Headset’s Gay Garage, an inclusive club series celebrating queer talent and soundsystem culture.
Skillis is also a resident at Sneaky Pete’s and hosts a radio show on Rinse FM. Alongside this, he co-runs Sound System Legacies with the Messenger Sound System, which will return in 2026 to continue championing Scotland’s deep-rooted soundsystem heritage.
Through his work across radio, live events, and the Headset imprint, Skillis continues to play a central role in shaping the sound and spirit of the UK underground.
