Yamamori Tengu

London · Bristol · Amsterdam

Yamamori Tengu is arguably Ireland’s most famous ‘spare room’, a club located in the back of a Japanese restaurant. Since 2012, it has solidified itself as one of the island’s most crucial hubs for underground electronic music. The team behind it are constantly pushing forward with safety, inclusivity and integrity. Tengu won the “Soundest Venue” award in 2024 from Safe Gigs Ireland as a result, solidifying the club’s commitment to these cornerstones. Tengu exists on a simple yet effective formula: warm red lights, litres of haze, a Funktion-One soundsystem, dedicated Night-Time Monitor team, interactive rave plants and, of course, great music. The space caters mostly to clubnights but also hosts Jazz nights, live performances & workshops. Programming consistently supports local artists and collectives as well as hosting some of the biggest international names like Ben UFO, CCL, Octo Octa, Polygonia, Anz, Calibre and more. The club launched an in-house residency series post-lockdown with Irish acts including; Sally C, Or:la, Spray, Sunil Sharpe, Ngoni and most recently Dylan Fogarty. They also introduced a new Soundsystem Sunday series powered by Rub A Dub HiFi with acts such as Mala, Double O & Mantra, Aba Shanti-I + more.
