<p>Tengu Presents: Soundsystem Sundays is a new two-part series focusing on low-end bass frequencies powered by Dublin&#x27;s Rub A Dub Hifi.</p><p>For night 1, we invite two of modern Jungle/DnB’s best, Mantra &amp; Double O from Rupture to play together in Ireland for the very first time, they will be joined by their Rupture MC Chickaboo. </p><p>Support on the night comes from Executive Steve, Rob Rua, Angel and DJ EGG!</p><p>Doors from 10pm, get in early! </p><p>Individually Mantra and Double O have done a lot! Mantra’s deep and emotive sound in the mix comes from an intense passion for the music, with her sets pushing the boundaries of drum and bass while still paying homage to its foundation. She has released on Rupture, Ilian Tape, System, Future Retro London, Repertoire, Woozy &amp; more!</p><p>Double O (formerly known as 007) is easily one of the most respected heads in Jungle and Drum’n’Bass with a career spanning over 25 years. Growing up inspired by Black music - especially his older brother’s Reggae sound system - his career propelled forward in the early 90s when he started playing Doncaster Warehouse alongside Carl Cox, DJ Ratty &amp; Grooverider. In 1994 he released one of his most famous productions, the Undercover Agent EP on Formation Records, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. He has many more releases on Rupture London, Hidden Hawaii, AKO, Repertoire, 117, DZR, Emotif, Formation recs and many more.</p><p>MC Chickaboo (Rupture) was the first Female dnb/jungle mc, has a career spanning 30+ years now and used to tour with soul II soul! She will host their two hour set!</p><p>Over the years Rub A Dub Hi-Fi have brought their Sound to festivals across the country. Curating and powering many stages at different festivals and events. After launching their new bass music night in 2018 called Subconscious they held events hosting Parly B, Jacky Murda, Mr. Williamz, Brother Culture and to finish the year they brought Deep Medi don Mala for a night no one will forget.
