Curves returns with some of the North East’s most talented selectors, featuring one of the dark overlords of the underground.

Grief.

As one of the most talented producers in the genre defining Tech Itch Recordings, Grief has helped to shape the sound of contemporary dark Drum & Bass and Jungle. His brand-new album, Pledge Allegiance is his first full length project since the seminal “portal” series. We’re proud to be hosting the launch party for what promises to be some of his best work to date. Expect zero compromise and maximum intensity. This is a set you don’t want to miss.

Ruckuz and Spectra

Ruckuz and Spectra have been DJing together and as solo artists for over two decades. They’ll be joining forces once again to bring you a back to back selection of the best in dark Jungle Drum & Bass. This will be a no holds barred selection of filth and frequencies from the outer reaches.

Lukey B and PRKN

Lukey B is a local legend who helped to shape the scene we know and love. The North East’s king of the rollers will be teaming up with newskool powerhouse PRKN to bring you a selection of cutting edge drum and bass from all corners of the spectrum.

Ellaz

One of the most versatile DJs we’ve ever seen, Ellaz effortlessly blends subgenres and flavours to create his own inimitable style. Selecting like a DJ way beyond his years, his encyclopedic knowledge and surgeon like skills on the decks make him one of the most exciting DJs in the North.

As always, we’ve tried to make this as cheap as we possibly can for you. Advance tickets will be five pounds. Entry on the night will be ten pounds.

Curves is an inclusive space and we welcome everyone. Whether you’re a die hard drum and bass fan, or a first timer, our crowd will make you feel at home.

Sound will be provided by the Lubberfiend’s own FUNKTION ONE rig, so you can expect clarity, weight and quality. The bar is stocked with the best craft ales, ciders and spirits and you won’t be overpaying for a warm can of generic lager.

Curves is one the longest running club events in the North because we do what we do for love, not profit. Our crowd make our events what they are, and we’re grateful to be here after all this time. We can’t wait for this one.
