GRYM ///
The early 2000s saw Grym as one the premier drum & bass DJs in the Seattle circuit. In 2004, Onset was born, establishing a staple in the Seattle underground. Running strong for almost 2 decades, Onset became an internationally renowned night and a required stop for international DNB talent. It was also the home base from which Grym showcased his darkside sound. Rinsing everything from dance floor to jungle to experimental, Grym became one of Seattle's most sought after figures in the bass community. Forging strong alliances and playing host to some of the most talented producers in the world, a label was formed as an outlet to the influx of unreleased music at his disposal. The Onset Audio imprint has since become home to some of the most forward thinking artists of the genre. Since then his name has become synonymous with Seattle drum & bass, representing the Onset, Rhythm Section and Deep N Bass crews as well as the esteemed Recon crew out of Denver.
OPENEND ///
OpenEnd is the alias of multidisciplinary artist Reece Anderson (he/him) — a producer, DJ, and curator with over 15 years embedded in Calgary’s electronic music ecosystem (Treaty 7 Territory). Drawing influence from both sides of the Atlantic, his sound inhabits the space between organic and synthetic rhythm, fusing themes of d&b, autonomic, and techno into immersive, percussive atmospheres. In addition to performing at notable events like Bass Coast, Shambhala, Sled Island, and AEMCON, his productions have received backing from musicians like dBridge, Om Unit, and Sun People with stand-out releases on labels such as Blue Night Jungle, PPRZ, and Amelia Recordings. Now based on the Sunshine Coast, BC — on the traditional lands of the Sechelt (shíshálh), Squamish (skwxwú7mesh), Tla’amin, and Klahoose Nations — OpenEnd enters a new phase of creative focus, distillation, and sonic exploration.
LIMNAL ///
Weaving between notes of ambient dub, experimental techno and broken beat electronica, @_limnal_ is a wide ranging exploration of deep rhythms, atmospheric soundscapes and leftfield psychedelia. A window into another world, a hazy dream state, a story in constant motion; momentary expressions of the ineffable mysteries of being.
BRONWYN ///
Bronwyn keeps a low profile but maintains a stealthy spot in the west coast music scene as a resident of the Elsewhere event series in Vancouver, putting together heady DJ sets moving between genres from ambient and downtempo to techno and jungle.
cy.matic ///
cy.matic operates at the intersection of spatial design, real-time graphics, and generative media. Informed by her background in architecture and computational design, her practice integrates reality-capture data, responsive 3D modeling, and audio-reactive systems to create dark, layered visual environments where technical precision meets organic form.
